These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Zipforge online store and the provision of wetsuit zipper installation and alteration services ("Services"). By placing an order on the Zipforge website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Provider Information

2. Scope of Application
These Terms apply to:
- The use of the Zipforge online store
- The purchase of physical products (if applicable)
- The booking and execution of wetsuit zipper installation and alteration services
Different or conflicting terms of the customer do not apply unless expressly agreed in writing.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian to place an order. By submitting an order, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete.
4. Conclusion of Contract
- Product and service descriptions on the website do not constitute a legally binding offer but an invitation to place an order.
- A contract is concluded when Zipforge confirms the order by email or begins performance of the service.
- Zipforge reserves the right to refuse orders without stating reasons, in particular if the wetsuit condition makes safe installation impossible.
5. Prices and Payment
- All prices are stated in euros (EUR). VAT is shown separately where applicable.
- Shipping costs, if any, are shown during checkout.
- Accepted payment methods are displayed in the online store.
- Payment is due in full before the service is rendered unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
6. Shipping and Delivery (Products)
- Products are shipped to the address provided by the customer.
- Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
- Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery.
7. Wetsuit Zipper Installation and Alteration Services
- Customer Responsibilities
- The customer must provide a clean, dry wetsuit free of hazardous contamination.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring the wetsuit is suitable for modification.
- Any pre-existing damage, wear, or material fatigue must be disclosed before the service.

Nature of the Service
- Zipper installation and alterations are permanent modifications.
- Visual changes, seam lines, glue marks, or minor aesthetic variations are inherent to the process and do not constitute defects.
- Waterproofness depends on material condition and usage and cannot be guaranteed beyond professional installation standards.

Acceptance of Risk
- Cutting and modifying wetsuits involves inherent risk.
- Zipforge is not liable for failures caused by material aging, hidden defects, improper prior repairs, or misuse after installation.

Fit and Function
- Zipper placement and functionality are based on customer specifications or standard professional judgment.
- Zipforge is not responsible for fit issues resulting from body shape, weight change, or incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
8. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

Services
- In accordance with §312g Abs. 2 Nr. 1 BGB, the right of withdrawal expires once the service has begun, provided the customer has expressly agreed to the start of the service and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal.
- Once zipper installation or alteration work has started, cancellation or refund is no longer possible.

Products
- For standard products, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies unless the product is custom-made or modified.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
- Orders for services may be cancelled free of charge only before work has started.
- No refunds are granted once the wetsuit modification process has begun.
- If Zipforge determines that the service cannot be completed due to material issues, a partial or full refund may be issued at Zipforge’s discretion, excluding shipping costs.
10. Warranty and Defects
- Statutory warranty rights apply.
- Normal wear and tear, improper care, chlorine damage, UV exposure, and incorrect use are excluded from warranty.
- Minor deviations in appearance or finish that do not affect functionality are not considered defects.
11. Liability
- Zipforge is liable only for intent and gross negligence.
- In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages.
- Liability for injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected.
- Zipforge is not liable for indirect damages, loss of competition use, or missed events.
12. Customer Content and Communication
Any specifications, measurements, or instructions provided by the customer are binding. Zipforge is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information.
13. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable GDPR regulations.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
- If the customer is a merchant (Kaufmann), the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Zipforge.
15. Severability Clause
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
16. Changes to These Terms
Zipforge reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The version valid at the time of order applies.
