Zipforge – Return & Refund Policy

At Zipforge, we take pride in delivering high-quality, handcrafted zipper installation services. Because our work is custom and performed directly on items provided by our customers, special rules apply to cancellations, returns, and refunds in accordance with EU and German consumer law.
1. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
As an EU consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from a service contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
However, this right does not apply once the service has begun, provided that:
- You have expressly requested that we start the service before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, and
- You have acknowledged that the right of withdrawal expires once the service is fully performed (Art. 246a §1 EGBGB; §356 Abs. 4 BGB).
For Zipforge services, this means:
- If work has not started yet: You may cancel and receive a full refund.
- Once the installation service has started:
Refunds are no longer possible, as the service involves irreversible modification of your item (cutting, gluing, sewing, and other permanent changes).
We will always ask for your explicit written confirmation before beginning the installation work.
2. Cancellations Before Work Begins
If you wish to cancel before we have started the installation:
- Please contact us immediately by replying to the order confirmation email you have received.
- You will receive a full refund of any payments made minus the return shipping cost.
3. Items Damaged or Defective Before Arrival
You will receive images showing you the state in which your items have arrived. If your item arrives in a condition that does not allow us to safely perform the installation (e.g., torn neoprene, structural damage, contamination):
We will notify you immediately.
You may choose:
- A full refund, or
- Return shipping of your item (shipping costs apply).
4. Quality Guarantee
We guarantee that all zipper installations are performed with professional care and craftsmanship.
If, after delivery, you believe the workmanship is defective, please contact us within 14 days with photos.
This guarantee covers workmanship only and does not include:
- Wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse or improper care
- Modifications performed by third parties
5. Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for shipping items to Zipforge.
Return shipping after completed service is charged separately unless otherwise stated.
